New Glass
4th May - 31st July 2002

Storyboards explaining technical processes

Supportive information for the exhibition was in the form of a set of six storyboards.
The boards incorporated images and technical information of glass processes in order to provide background knowledge of the work on display.

There was a video showing the glass artist Ruth Dresman, working on the very time consuming process of decorating one of her glass bowls. Ruth masks off areas to create intricate patterns, such as crocodiles and fish before sandblasting the glass.

"Walk and Talk" with glass artist Jo Vincent

Wednesday 15th May 2.00 - 3.00pm
The public were invited to attend a talk in the gallery by exhibitor Jo Vincent.

Jo talked in depth about kiln formed glass processes which she uses in her own work, and discussed general glass making techniques whilst leading a tour of the gallery.
The talk was enjoyed by all and found to be very informative.

More events are to be organised in the future, if you would like to receive notification then please email the gallery with your details.
