Carla Edwards makes colourful polyester resin jewellery. Interesting textures are taken from everyday objects such as corrugated cardboard and bubblewrap. She produces rigid neckpieces, bangles, brooches and earrings which are light and durable to wear.
| The liquid resin is poured into sillicone rubber moulds, taken from carved originals, in layers to vary the shades of colour. Sometimes strips of tissue paper or silver wire are inserted to produce the effect of decoration floating within the resin. |

Using silver, gold, glass and knitted copper wire bound in hand dyed silk, capturing sea treasure pearls, moonstones and opals, a sense of fluidity and envelopment is created.
| The collection has been inspired by the sea and the myriad of life that lies beneath the surface. Each piece has delicate, ethereal qualities with a focus on textures, reflections and translucency. |
