This showcase will provide a scintillating and beautiful array of work based upon the inspiration and ideas of organic and natural forms. Five jewellers have been carefully selected to feature in this showcase and provide ranges of work, which are exquisite and sophisticated in design.
Malcolm Morris' work (above) is beautifully refined; he uses silver and 18ct gold and also works with the theme of natural organisms through the imagery of twigs, willow, leaves and veins.
Glen Campbell (left)uses silver, 18ct gold and platinum, experimenting with these materials, he folds, forges and twists the metal to produce fluid and organic shapes. He 'appreciates infinite forms of nature' and his work'echoes the beauty of natural forms'.
Tanja Ufer (far left) works with gemstones, raw diamonds, tourmalines and pearls set in silver with fine gold and enamel. Her work is reminiscent of plants, with references to twigs, shoots and berries.
Sam Maund's work (left) is based upon her knowledge of physiology, cells, what lies within them and repeated design. Her work is hand painted with a resist, deeply etched with acid and then patinated to create and extraordinary texture.
Shimara Carlow (right) works with natural forms to create a selection of elegant and charming work. Alongside using precious metals, she also uses hand made paper pods and found objects.
Each of these five jewellers work with particular materials in order to portray shapes and forms influenced by natural organisms and cellular structure.
