"My design ideas develop from such science fiction, fantasy and technological origins, encompassing a whole sphere of mechanical objects from submarines to time machines."

Running alongside these origins is the wonderful hotchpotch mismatch of materials used by allotment shed-builders and hideaway seekers. I incorporate this quality in the furniture using wood with a weathered paint surface, layered together with metal."

"The Ice Cream Machine" (pictured above)

The handles turn to make ice cream, it is then delivered to the shed-like houses by cranking up the cart that trundles along it's circular track.
