Print Exhibition - Pauline Meade
1st July - 31st October

"Avebury" Aquatint

Pauline Meade is a remarkable printmaker who utilises a number of different techniques to create her landscape inspired hand printed prints.

Her work ranges from colourful relief and screen-printing to subtle atmospheric black and white etching and mono-printing.

Pauline's work is mainly concerned with landscape and the natural environment of plants and wildlife.

She makes watercolour sketches direct from the subject in all weathers and seasons in woodlands, moors and mountains, rivers and streams, or the seashore, around Britain and on visits abroad.

In the studio, the sketches are used as a starting point. A vast variety of tone, depth and colour are created through printing and Pauline pushes this medium to great lengths.
Small limited editions, printed by hand, ensures that the prints although similar, will not be identical and keeps the process alive and active.

Sixteen prints will be framed for display in the exhibition but will be sold unframed.

The gallery stocks a wide range of work by Pauline Meade which is regularly for sale in the print browsers.
