We Love a Happy Ending...

Back in June one of our regular visitors admired a beautiful ceramic collection by Luke Bishop. Luke had been part of our annual exhibition Made with Love; celebrating the romance of British craft (ideal gifts deemed perfect for Valentine's and Mother's Day). Our visitor Urwin wanted to know if Luke made any cups and saucers and as we didn't have any on display we contacted Luke to see if he'd like to undertake this commission. Luke jumped at the chance and set about getting to work. Today Urwin collected the specially commissioned cups and saucers and was over the moon! We love a happy ending and wanted to share it with you all to show how fantastic we think all our makers and visitors are. Long may these happy relationships continue!

"I have just collected the mugs and the saucers. Thank you for organising/liaising/making possible. They are superb! Really, elegant, perfectly proportioned - you can know the size of something but its not until you see the thing...the crispness of the saucers...the contrast of glaze against the porcelain. They are perfect! They occupy that space beyond well-designed, perfectly produced and offer an originality/uniqueness. The mugs are perfectly usable but somehow delicate/fragile.
