We
intend to celebrate the wealth of emerging British talent by introducing
the work of some of the most gifted up and coming designer / makers. The
exhibition will present a diverse mix of contemporary craft by a promising
group of makers who have set up in business within the last five years.
Twenty four makers have been chosen for innovation and their ability to
combine creative thought processes with a high level of technical expertise.

From
the big pawed, big eared, slightly neurotic dogs of Virginia Dowe to the
naturalistic ceramic animals of Brendan Hesmondhalgh. The waggish dogs
of Kerry Jameson complete with comical features and party hats, to the
work of Olivia Brown who subjects her ceramic hounds to such human terrors
as choosing the correct hairstyle , rainmac or miracle creams.
