"The images I use are figurative; they are a vehicle for me to explore the qualities of etching and collagraph as printing techniques and the excuse to use hand made papers, metal leaf and collage in my work."

"After a break of several years from printmaking I was inspired to resume the practice in 1996 after discovering the technique of collagraph printing being taught at the local Steiner School.
The process involves making a collage, sealing the surface with varnish then inking and printing the plate with an etching press. The technique provides intaglio prints with deeply textural images."
