Without Colour - Mixed Showcase

Saturday 28th March – 27th June 2009

Twenty makers showcasing work where shape, form and structure are the main principle objectives.  No colour as such is required to accentuate any of these wonderful pieces on display.  Makers include ten jewellers and ten ceramicists all using a range of techniques representing  a high level of craftsmanship

Eric Moss – Raku fired black and white vessels inspired by natural forms i.e. seedpods
Suzanne Potter - Inspired by nature this collection of jewellery made from silver and oxidised silver is simple in desing yet distinctive

Tina Vlassopulos – Elegant and delicate ceramic forms using feminine curves and twists.

Janice Sinclair – Smoke fired porcelain ceramic forms inspired by changing cloud and landscape formations.
Desiree Hope – wonderful glass pieces with cut out centre areas that are almost replicas of fossil forms.
Gillies Jones Glass – Glass bowls with striking dramatic patterns in black and white.
Sandra Callowhill – Sand blasted glass which has taken away the reflective tones usually found within this medium.
Rowena Gilbert – Slip-cast pots and bowls with wonderful mark making accentuating the form of each individual piece.

Jewellery

Amy Keeper – Vintage postcards and photographs are used within pieces of jewellery conjuring up a romantic narrative.
Daisy Choi – Contemporary collection of ceramic jewellery incorporating text. Pearls are also used in this wonderfully inspiring collection.
Sarah Keyes – Laser cut plastic jewellery contemporary in design.
Katie Clarke – A collection of jewellery made from feathers in a bold range of designs.
Li-Sheng Cheng – Beautiful silver collection inspired by forms from natural life elements such as cells.
Helen Smythe – Hand painted ceramic jewellery inspired by the natural world around us.
Louise Miller – Bold surface designs using resin and various papers in this striking collection of jewellery.
Betty Pepper – Charming collection of embroidered jewellery with a vintage feel.

Jacqueline Cullen - Jewellery made from "Whitby Jet" and dark coloured gems creating a visually stunning collection.
 
Adam Wahby and Kate Noakes Sally Bradley Pam Dodds

Adam Wahby and Kate Noakes – black and white gesso vessels inlaid with pewter detail creating pieces with a  real wow factor.

Sally Bradley – Smoke fired ceramics with a beautiful atmospheric presence.

Pam Dodds – Dramatic ceramic pieces in both form and presence using the interior and exterior of the sculpture to striking effect.
