Participants of the course will make 8/12 keepsake hanging decorations (depending on size).

 

Nat from Upsydaisy Craft will show you simple pottery techniques to create pattern and texture using a vast variety of cutters and stamps which she will provide (everything from classic Christmas, flowers, letters and dinosaurs).  There is lots of fun to be had playing with clay on this exciting workshop.

 

As the pieces dry Nat will demonstrate glazing and bring along examples of the colours for the class to glaze their own pieces. The finished items will be loaded into individual boxes and taken away to be fired in Nat's kiln and will be ready for collection from the Gallery approximately 2 weeks later.

 

Nat will bring examples of what can be made and you are welcome to bring along any stamps/textures of your own that you may want to try in the clay or work from any ideas or sketches you may have.  Or just come along and see what creativity inspires you on the day!

 

No previous experience is required.

 

We'd recommend for you to bring an apron but clay doesn’t stain.
