There’s lots of fun to be had playing with clay in this ceramic plant pot workshop with Upsydaisy Craft.  Participants will make one large plant pot (approx 13cm diameter) through the methods of slab building and coiling.  Nat from Upsydaisy Craft will demonstrate textures and techniques.  The stoneware clay will be provided along with a variety of stamps and shapes to create interesting details.  You will then be able to decorate with underglaze colours of your choice.  The pots will be dried slowly to prevent cracks before they are glazed with a transparent gloss glaze, fired and will then be ready for collection from the Gallery approx. 2 weeks later.

 

Nat will bring example of what can be made and you are welcome to bring along any stamps/textures of your own that you may want to try impressing into the clay to create your inspiring designs.  Feel free to also bring any ideas or sketches you may have to bring your ideas to life in clay or just come along and see what creativity inspires you on the day!

 

No previous experience is required.

 

It is recommended to bring an apron but clay doesn’t stain so it’s not essential.
