Join Calico Collective for a two-and-a-half hour Jesmonite workshop, and learn how to create two pieces of marbled and terrazzo homeware.  Jesmonite is a chic and robust, environmentally conscious alternative to concretes, solvents, and resin-based products.  With many contemporary artists and makers experimenting with Jesmonite, it's being celebrated as an on-trend material for creating highly vibrant and textured designs.

 

Calico Collective will lead a workshop on how to work with Jesmonite, and participants will be guided through making two coasters to take home - one in a marbled design, the other with a distinctive terrazzo effect - and both in the colours of your choice.  You will have the chance to experiment with the material and learn about how to create both effects, as well as learning the sanding and sealing processes - with the set of coasters ready to take home at the end of the session!

 

Charlotte, the creative mind behind Calico Collective, will be delivering the Terrazzo/Marble Coaster workshop - their work has been stocked in John Lewis and featured in Curated Makers and Made Local pop-ups.
