For the past 38 years we have been championing contemporary craft in the vibrant city of Leeds to shine a spotlight on independent makers and their small businesses from across Yorkshire and the rest of the UK. Through an exciting seasonal exhibition programme we highlight the skills behind handmade and share their inspiring stories. Bringing these amazing collections of contemporary craft together under one roof has created a haven for many visitors to escape the stresses of daily life & create mindful experiences. Please help us keep the gallery and the hundreds of small businesses we support alive by donating what you can so we can continue to keep bringing the very best of contemporary craft to you and help us and these creative industries thrive.

Happy New Year folks! We're starting the New Year off with 3 exciting new exhibitions opening on Saturday 16th January. Now in our 34th year we've been delighted at the media buzz around our forthcoming shows which start next Saturday. Not only are we welcoming back the Made in Leeds TV filming crew to film an interview with ceramicist Gin Durham (her work is pictured to the right) but Yorkshire Life magazine and website included us in their feature “not to be missed days out in Yorkshire” recently which is just fabulous!
We'll keep you posted on when you can see our second appearance on this popular TV channel for Leeds.
Meanwhile our new shows include an annual showcase of rings by 9 established and up and coming jewellers (pictured are rings by Amy Keeper), a solo ceramic showcase by Gin Durham and our annual take on romance in the mixed showcase Made with Love highlighting the romance of British Craft with exciting jewellery and ceramics (pictured are 'Love Birds' by Charlotte Miller) which you can discover more about on the What's On section of our website here.
With the closure of Leeds City Art Gallery this week and some confusion as to if we'd be closed too it's really important for us to highlight that we're open for business as usual so do help us spread the word by sharing our social media posts and telling your family and friends too. Our neighbours the Tiled Hall Café and the Leeds Visitor Centre are also open for business as well as Leeds City Museum round the corner so there’s still plenty for visitors to discover in this cultural hub of Leeds.
We'll see you soon and here's a little reminder of our opening hours Tue - Sat 10am - 5pm and we're closed Sundays & Mondays.
